Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, & Drake Nominated for MTV VMAs

The nominees for the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards are in.

Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga lead with nine nominations each, followed by The Weeknd and Billie Eilish with six.

Grande and Gaga score nods in the major categories including Video of the Year and Song of the Year for their collaboration “Rain On Me.”

The Weeknd is up for six including Artist of the Year and Video of the Year for “Blinding Lights.” His fellow Canadian Drake collects four nods including Video of the Year and Best Collaboration for “Life Is Good” with Future.

Other multiple nominees include J Balvin and Justin Bieber with four apiece, while DaBaby, Doja Cat, Future, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, and Roddy Ricch each earn three nods.

In the Video of the Year category, nominees include Billie Eilish (“everything i wanted”), Eminem featuring Juice WRLD (“Godzilla”), Future featuring Drake (“Life Is Good”), Lady Gaga with Ariana Grande (“Rain On Me”), Taylor Swift (“The Man”), and The Weeknd (“Blinding Lights”).

DaBaby, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, and The Weeknd will compete for Artist of the Year.

The 15 gender-neutral categories also include two all-new categories, Best Music Video From Home and Best Quarantine Performance. Beginning today, fans can vote for their favorites online.

The 2020 MTV VMAs will air live from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
