Frank Ocean's Brother Reportedly Dies in Car Crash

Frank Ocean’s younger brother reportedly died in a car accident on Sunday morning.

According to ABC 7, two people were killed in the fiery single-car crash in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Officials have not named the victims, but friends have identified them as Ocean’s 18-year-old sibling, Ryan Breaux, and his friend Ezekiel “Zeek” Bishop.

An investigation is ongoing, but it appears that the vehicle left the road and collided with a tree in the center median just after 1:30 a.m. The force of the crash caused the car to rip in half and burst into flames. Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene by the Ventura County Fire Department.

Following the tragic news, friends took to Ryan’s Instagram to mourn the loss and share heartfelt messages. “You gave us all love and laughter brother. Love you forever. I hope I get to see you again one day,” wrote Brandon Thomas Lee, while another friend added, “I can’t breathe I love you so much.”

Paris Brosnan, the son of actor Pierce Brosnan, also penned a touching tribute to his friend. “To my brother, who was talented beyond belief, possessed a heart of gold, had an energy that was infectious, a smile & laugh that lifted everyone’s spirit, and was a loyal and authentic friend to anyone he knew,” he wrote on Instagram. “You were just getting started and ready to show the world who you were.”

Breaux would have turned 19 on Sept. 1. He can be heard being interviewed on “Future Free,” the closing track off Ocean’s 2016 album Blond.
