Jhené Aiko Performs for NPR's Tiny Desk (Home) Concert
Jhené Aiko comes to the Tiny Desk.
The R&B songstress made her long-awaited debut on NPR’s concert series. During her intimate at-home show, which she dubbed the “quarantine edition,” Jhené performed old and new material, spanning from her first mixtape to this year’s Chilombo.
She opened her soothing set with a sound bath of singing bowls before going into “Lotus (Intro).” Backed by a full band, all wearing masks, she delivered “Stranger” and “Do Better Blues” off 2011’s Sailing Soul(s).
She then took it to the Souled Out era with “To Love & Die” and “W.A.Y.S.” The therapeutic vibes continued with a mashup of “Summer 2020” and “Everything Must Go,” capping off with “Eternal Sunshine.”
Jhené released a deluxe edition of Chilombo in July featuring collaborations with Chris Brown, Kehlani, Snoop Dogg, and Wiz Khalifa.
