Lil Yachty and Kodak Black Team Up on 'Hit Bout It'

  /  02.19.2021

Lil Yachty reconnects with Kodak Black on his new single “Hit Bout It.”

On their super-charged collaboration, the two exchange boastful bars. “I’m thinkin’ of movin’ to Africa and marrying six wives,” raps Yachty, while Kodak tells his collaborator to let him “drive the boat.”

In the video, which was shot just days after Kodak’s incarceration, Lil Boat and Lil Kodak celebrate their friendship and flaunt their riches including a pair of Ferraris, while Gucci Mane makes a cameo. The newly-engaged Kodak even invites Yachty to meet his mother at her Florida home. “Don’t nobody be in my lil’ neighborhood. I don’t think anybody knows where my momma stay,” says Kodak.

Yachty was among those who lobbied Donald Trump to commute Kodak’s prison sentence. Shortly after his release last month, Yachty presented his friend with $50,000 in cash as a welcome home gift.

After wrapping the Lil Boat trilogy in 2020, Yachty is readying his new mixtape Michigan Boat Boy that pays homage to the Midwest hip-hop scene. He is also working with Mattel Films to develop an action-heist comedy based on the card game Uno.
