The Weeknd leads the nominees for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.

The XO crooner is the most nominated artist at this year’s ceremony with 16 nods, including Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, and Top Song Sales Artist. His 2020 album After Hours was honored for Top Billboard 200 Album and Top R&B Album, while his chart-topping hit “Blinding Lights” was recognized in five categories.

DaBaby follows with 11 nominations including Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Rap Artist, and Top Rap Album. He also scored a pair of nods in the Top Streaming Song category for “Rockstar” and “WHATS POPPIN” with Jack Harlow.

A year after his death, Pop Smoke was posthumously nominated in 10 categories, including Top Billboard 200 Album for his debut Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon. The late Juice WRLD is a finalist in seven categories, including Top Rap Album for Legends Never Die.

Other multiple nominees include Drake, Chris Brown, and Megan Thee Stallion, with seven nods each. Megan has the second-most nominations for a female artist, including Top Female Artist and Top Rap Female Artist.

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 23, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
