Travis Scott Pays Tribute to Pop Smoke with Cactus Jack Dior Shirt

Travis Scott is keeping Pop Smoke’s memory alive.

On Friday, the Houston rapper debuted his Cactus Jack x Dior Men’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection during Paris Fashion Week. The collection, which Scott co-designed with Dior artistic director Kim Jones, includes a special tribute tee in honor of the late Brooklyn rapper.

The white short-sleeve shirt features Pop Smoke’s face in black and white with lyrics from his 2020 song “Dior” on the back: “Christian Dior, Dior / When it rains, it pours.”

Travis shared photos of the tee, complete with a Dior tag. “U CANT SAY POP AND FORGET THE SMOKE. NOW U IN ALL THE STORES 4 EVER,” wrote Travis, who collaborated with Pop on his JACKBOYS song “GATTI.”

This marks the first time that Dior has co-designed a full collection with a musician. Travis, who previously modeled for the brand’s Air Dior capsule collection, even tried his hand at sewing during his visit to the Dior atelier.

According to Jones, the collaboration came about when he and Scott first discussed Cactus Jack’s work with The New School’s Parsons School of the Design. Last year, Travis’ Cactus Jack Foundation announced that he was launching “an authentic fashion design program” for high school students.

Friday’s Cactus Jack x Dior Men’s runway show featured models walking through a trippy desertscape with larger-than-life cacti, mushrooms, and flowers.
