Lil Nas X Pays Tribute to Michael Jackson with BET Awards Performance
Lil Nas X had everyone talking about his BET Awards performance.
The rapper paid tribute to Michael Jackson while performing his chart-topping hit “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” at Sunday’s show. Dressed in golden Egyptian-themed garb, Nas was joined by an army of male dancers while channeling the King of Pop’s classic “Remember the Time” music video (plus a cameo from Taraji P. Henson). He stopped at one point for a dance breakdown, complete with MJ-inspired moves. At the end, he ascended a staircase before making out with one of his male dancers.
The performance earned praise from Diddy, who tweeted, “Lil Nas X did that!! Be fearless!!!”

Nas also turned heads on the red carpet in two outfits including a corset-like dress that exposed his chest before changing into a floral-print suit.
