Andra Day Reacts to Brad Pitt Dating Rumors
Andra Day’s love life is making headlines.
The Oscar-nominated actress recently found herself linked to Brad Pitt. According to The Mirror, the two were “flirting backstage” and exchanged numbers at the Academy Awards in April.
But there’s no truth to the romance rumors. In fact, the 36-year-old singer and 57-year-old actor have never even crossed paths.
“We’ve never met,” Andra told “Entertainment Tonight” at the 2021 BET Awards. “So I was like, ‘Oh, alright.’ My sister actually hit me up after, she was like, ‘You met Brad Pitt?’ I said, ‘I guess so. I guess we did.'”
Added Andra, “We’re not dating. We don’t even know each other. It is hilarious. It was thin air. Somebody was bored that day.”
However, she is a fan of the Fight Club star. “He’s great, though, super talented, wonderful.”
Andra hit the stage to perform “Strange Fruit” and “Tigress & Tweed” at Sunday’s BET Awards, and took home the award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Billie Holiday in The United States vs. Billie Holiday.
