Lil Wayne Addresses Marriage Rumors

Lil Wayne did not put a ring on it.

In April, the Young Money rapper seemingly announced that he got married when he tweeted about being the “happiest man alive,” adding that “today is the beginning of our forever.” The rumor mill was abuzz that he and his on-again, off-again girlfriend Denise Bidot had secretly tied the knot.

“Happiest man alive! Today is the beginning of our forever. Forever?? Forever, ever?? FOREVER EVER!!!!! The Carters,” he tweeted.

Even his close friend Nicki Minaj said she believed that he was a married man and sent him a congratulatory text.

However, Weezy is apparently still single. While speaking to Nicki on Instagram Live Thursday, he addressed the marriage rumors for the first time.

“No. I’m so glad you asked me that. I did not get married,” said Tunechi.

Wayne explained that the tweet was celebrating his sons’ new rap group, The Carters. The trio—consisting of Lil Tune, Young Carter, and Kam Carter—are ages 11, 12, and 12, which is the same age as Wayne when he signed his contract with Birdman. The group has since changed their name to The Carter Boys.

“They was on my last mixtape,” said Weezy, referring to last year’s No Ceilings 3.

Wayne and Bidot started dating in April 2020, but they are seemingly no longer together. The two, who often showed PDA on social media, no longer follow each other on Instagram.
