DaBaby is offering up an apology of sorts.

Amid the fallout from his homophobic rant at Rolling Loud Miami, the rapper is addressing the offensive diatribe, claiming that he was surprised by the backlash.

“I tell fans to put a cellphone light in the air y’all start a million man March,” he tweeted on Tuesday. “I told you y’all digested that wrong but I ain’t gone lie I’m impressed. Now show this same amount of support when a racist cop kill one of our black ass…YA NOT.”

He went on to apologize for his “insensitive” remarks about those with AIDS/HIV.

“Anybody who done ever been effected by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset,” he added. “What I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies.”

However, he stopped short of apologizing to the LGBTQ+ community as a whole. “But the LGBT community… I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. y’all business is y’all business,” he added.

Not only has social media called for his cancelation, but his peers are calling him out including his “Levitating” collaborator Dua Lipa.

“I’m surprised and horrified at DaBaby’s comments,” the pop star wrote on her Instagram Story. “I really don’t recognize this as the person I worked with. I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGTBQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”

Fashion brand boohooMAN, for which DaBaby is a partner, has also condemned his comments and is reviewing its relationship with him. “Diversity and inclusion are part of our core values and we pride ourselves on representing the diverse customers we serve across the globe,” the brand said in a statement to TMZ.

DaBaby also had a message for the “brands, networks, or artists that like to profit off of black rappers,” adding, “Keep yo money next time us ‘NI**AS’ human too.”
