Chris Brown Calls Out 'Gimmicks,' Questions Today's Talent
Chris Brown has some thoughts on today’s talent.
The R&B superstar is speaking out about the “gimmicks” in the industry while questioning the current state of music. Without naming names, Breezy shared a cryptic post on his Instagram Story on Sunday (Aug. 8).
“F**k all these gimmicks… What happened to actually being talented?” he asked.
It’s unclear what triggered his comments or if he was speaking about anyone in particular. To further his point, he shared video from his “Dances with Paint” performance art piece that he did for Spotify’s RapCaviar in 2017.
“Talent ??? Or a waste of time?” asked Chris.
Last month, the father of two posted another cryptic message in which he appeared to condemn DaBaby just days after his homophobic rant at Rolling Loud.
“Shut the f**k up…Do yo shows thank everybody. Then get the f**k off stage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” wrote Chris.
He also announced that he is working on a short film surrounding his long-awaited album Breezy, and teased a potential collaboration with Kanye West.
