Kendrick Lamar takes Vegas.

The Compton kingpin returned to the stage for his first show of 2021 and first U.S. concert in two years at the Day N Vegas festival on Friday (Nov. 12).

“It has been 365 days, times two, since I’ve seen you,” the reclusive star told the crowd at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, where he last performed in 2019.

Decked out in all white crochet, oklama was joined by 16 men clad in maroon blazers as well as ballerinas as he powered throughout his 90-minute set, which consisted of two dozen of his biggest tracks, divided into five acts–one for each of his albums including Section.80, good kid, m.A.A.d city, To Pimp a Butterfly, and DAMN.

He marked the 10th anniversary of Section.80 with songs like “Fu**k Your Ethnicity,” “A.D.H.D,” and “HiiiPoWeR,” and delivered more recent hits including “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” “King Kunta,” and “Poetic Justice.”

For the finale, he brought out his cousin, “hometown hero” Baby Keem, to perform “Family Ties” and “Range Brothers,” closing with good kid, m.A.A.d city‘s “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst.”

Before leaving the stage, he teased the next chapter of his career and left fans hopeful for a new album.

“Vegas, till next time. And when I say next time, very soon,” said K-Dot.

It’s been over four years since Kendrick released an album. Back in August, he announced that he was working on his final TDE album.

“There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown,” he wrote before telling fans, “See you soon enough.”
