Lil Wayne is keeping his ear to the streets.

The Young Money boss recently paid a visit to the “I Am Athlete” podcast where he spoke with Brandon Marshall, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, Pac-Man Jones, and Omar Kelly about his legacy while reflecting on his legendary career.

The man who introduced the world to Drake and Nicki Minaj also revealed which artists he’s excited about these days.

“It changes up a lot. It depends on if I heard some shit and I start liking that shit. I wanna hear some more of that person,” said Wayne.

He said he’s been listening to Baby Keem, in addition to his “Forever” collaborator Lil Baby. “I been on all them,” he said.

The New Orleans icon also gave props to Young Dolph, whose music he discovered after his death. “Rest in peace, I really just started getting into Dolph’s shit…because they playing it a lot, so I’m starting to hear a lot more than I’ve ever heard.”

He admires the late Memphis rapper for his “authenticity,” and compared him to another one of his favorites. “He remind me a lot of 2 Chainz. Tit make that shit make sense and he don’t break his lane. He gon’ be him, he don’t care what your song about.”

Wayne also gushed about one of Young Money’s newest signees, Euro. “His bars is just beyond anything I’ve heard yet, in the streets or period,” he said of the Rhode Island rapper. “He just fit the mold what I was looking for, plain and simple.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Weezy recalled signing Drake to Young Money and discovering that he did more than just rap. “What I loved about him, he was sounding just as dope as we were,” said Wayne, who told Drake to embrace his versatility as a rapper and singer: “You gotta be the ultimate artist.”
