Muni Long Drops New Single 'Another'

  /  04.12.2022

Muni Long scored a breakout hit with “Hrs and Hrs,” and now she’s back with “Another” one.

On the follow-up to her top 20 hit, which arrives alongside a video, the R&B singer-songwriter switches gears and puts her man on notice. Instead of champagne showers and lobster towers, she warns him that he can easily be replaced if he acts up.

“What one ni**a won’t do, another ni**a gon’ do / I’m puttin’ you on notice / Another ni**a done bought me roses,” she sings. “I’m telling you, they want me / While you out here playin’, they ain’t playin’.”

After a bidding war, Muni Long signed a deal with Def Jam through her Supergiant Records label where she will release her new album. “Hrs and Hrs,” which peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, appears on her 2021 EP Public Displays of Affection.

Prior to “Hrs and Hrs,” Muni Long spent a decade writing for artists including Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Chris Brown, and Ariana Grande under her real name, Priscilla Renea.

Soon after, she adopted the stage name Muni Long. “Priscilla is the name I was born with,” she says. “I always wanted to be Muni Long though. She’s fearless. She has intent. She is me.”
