One Person Injured After Shooting at DaBaby's House

DaBaby can’t escape the headlines.

One person was injured following a shooting at the rapper’s home in North Carolina on Wednesday evening (April 13), reports Rolling Stone. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby medical facility.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at the home of DaBaby, whose real name is Jonathan Kirk, around 7:45 p.m. When they arrived at the $2.3 million residence in Troutman, North Carolina, they discovered the injured victim.

According to TMZ, someone came onto the property without permission and was shot. DaBaby was reportedly present at the time, but his level of involvement is unknown.

The shooter nor the victim has been named and no arrests have been made. A spokesperson for the Troutman Police Department described the shooting as an “isolated incident” that poses no further threat to the community.

Neighbors didn’t report hearing any commotion, but noted that DaBaby normally has security at the 11,000-square-foot mansion, which he moved into in December 2019. Since he has lived there, police have received at least 30 calls over noise levels, domestic arguments, and construction concerns, as well as numerous complaints about his security alarms going off.

DaBaby has not addressed the incident. Back in November 2018, he shot and killed a teenager while shopping with his children at a Walmart in Charlotte. The 30-year-old rapper, who claimed he was acting in self defense, was originally charged with murder, but the charges were reduced to a misdemeanor for carrying a weapon. He was sentenced to 12 months of probation.

This is the latest controversy for DaBaby. He is currently facing a civil lawsuit from DaniLeigh’s brother, Brandon Bills, after he allegedly attacked him at a bowling alley in February.
