Meet the 2022 Freshman Class.

XXL has revealed the 12 artists that will join Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and Travis Scott in the Freshman Hall of Fame.

This year’s list of rising stars that are “breaking the mold” includes familiar names like Nardo Wick, Babyface Ray, and Saucy Santana, along with SoFaygo, KayCyy, Cochise, Big30, and Big Scarr.

Three of the 12 spots are occupied by women, including Kali, KenTheMan, and TDE’s breakout star Doechii.

Congratulations are also in order for Freshman honoree Wheezy Outta Here, the producer behind multi-platinum hits for Lil Baby, Future, Gunna, and Young Thug. Michigan-based MC BabyTron won the 10th spot, which was determined by fan voting.

Over the next month, XXL will be releasing its Freshman freestyles and cyphers, with beats crafted by Wheezy Outta Here.

Last year’s Freshman Class included 42 Dugg, Flo Milli, Morray, Pooh Shiesty, Coi Leray, Blxst, Rubi Rose, and Iann Dior.
