Sagittarius season is upon us. Anyone born from Nov. 22 to Dec. 21 is among astrology’s boldest. Represented by the bow and arrow, the fire sign boasts typical traits including being charming, independent, intuitive and outspoken — each of which sums up some of Hip Hop’s favorites to a T.

“I’m a Sagittarius, so I would lose my mind if people weren’t putting their all into me,” Asian Doll told HYPEBEAST. “I’m the type of person [who] enjoys doing things themselves, so if you’re not going to do it better than me, I can’t have it.”

Check out these 13 rappers born under the sign, including Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby, City Girls’ JT and more.

1. Nicki Minaj

“I'm in my prime, Optimus / Sagittarius, so you know I'm an optimist,” Minaj asserted on 2018’s “Barbie Tingz.” Honestly, no one has been able to snatch the Trinidadian rapper’s crown since her breakthrough in the late 2000s. Born on Dec. 8, 1982, some of Minaj’s early career hits include “Your Love,” “Moment 4 Life” and “Super Bass,” while more recent records — like “Chun-Li” from her Queen era or “FTCU” from 2023’s Pink Friday 2 — show the artist hasn’t lost her grip one bit.

2. Lil Baby

Lil Baby is proof that 15 seconds of fame can stretch into a lifetime if you have the talent to back it up. Born on Dec. 3, 1994, the Atlanta native dominated 2017 with records like “Freestyle,” “My Dawg” and “All Of A Sudden.” Seven years later, he still delivers nothing but heat. Projects like Harder Than Hard, My Turn and It’s Only Me have solidified Lil Baby’s place among rap’s elite — thanks in part to a steady rotation of A-list collaborators like Young Thug and Future, to mention a few. On “Commercial,” the Glass Window Entertainment founder even gave a nod to his zodiac roots: “Diamonds cold, it’s December, my vibe Sagittarius.”

3. Offset

In 2008, Offset introduced himself to the world, alongside Quavo and Takeoff, as part of Migos. The Atlanta-based trio delivered undeniable Hip Hop classics like No Label II and Culture, which practically helped define the 2010s. Though Takeoff’s passing left an irreplaceable void and marked an apparent end to Migos, Offset has consistently proven he’s not to sweep under the rug. Born on Dec. 14, 1991, the rapper has developed a solo catalog that is home to 2019’s FATHER OF 4 and 2023’s SET IT OFF, which serves as further proof of his ability to deliver hits all by himself.

4. Juice WRLD

Despite tragically passing away at just 21 years old, Juice WRLD is unquestionably one of the most influential Hip Hop artists of the new generation. Born on Dec. 2, 1998, the genre-blurring rapper independently began his career in 2015 before skyrocketing into fame with 2017’s “All Girls Are The Same.” The following year brought “Lucid Dreams,” his first RIAA-certified Diamond hit, which climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Among the plethora of hits under his belt, Juice WRLD also debuted tracks like “Robbery,” “Wishing Well” and the YoungBoy Never Broke Again-assisted “Bandit.”

5. JT

City Girls wouldn’t be what it is without Yung Miami and JT. Though the duo graced music fans with unapologetic records such as “Act Up,” “Twerkulator” and “P**sy Talk,” branching off into their solo careers seemed inevitable after 2023’s RAW didn’t perform as well as they hoped. Welcomed into the world on Dec. 3, 1992, JT has been the most exciting artist to watch, especially with her debut mixtape, City Cinderella, and ventures into high fashion.

6. PnB Rock

Another artist taken too soon, PnB Rock passed away at only 30 years old. In the face of many rappers dying at the hands of senseless violence or drug abuse, his death hit really hard. Born on Dec. 9, 1991, the rapper kickstarted a major wave with “Selfish” and several other standout features: YFN Lucci’s “Everyday We Lit,” Kodak Black’s “Too Many Years,” XXXTENTACION’s “changes” and plenty more. While his tragic death left a void in the industry, fans were lucky to enjoy LPs like Catch These Vibes and TrapStar Turnt PopStar while PnB Rock was still here.

7. The Game

There couldn’t be a more appropriate artist to come out of the post-N.W.A. era than The Game. As a product of Dr. Dre and 50 Cent’s genius, the West Coast MC released his debut album, The Documentary, in 2005. The project housed tracks like “Dreams,” “We Ain’t,” “Hate It Or Love It” and a few others featuring the G-Unit label head. Like many other Sagittarius artists on this list, The Game — born on Nov. 29, 1979 — has had his fair share of controversy.

8. 42 Dugg

Detroit came back from its nearly decade-long dry spell thanks to the likes of Tee Grizzley, Skilla Baby and 42 Dugg, the last of whom was born on Nov. 25, 1994. Most Hip Hop fans are probably familiar with the Motor City native by way of Lil Baby’s “We Paid,” but he’s also got a discography full of bops of his own: “4 Da Gang,” “Maybach” and “Dog Food,” to mention a few.

9. Asian Doll

Hip Hop is full of dolls: Cuban Doll, Kash Doll, DreamDoll — you name it. However, Asian Doll, who was born on Dec. 7, 1996, is arguably one of the most exciting dolls in the bunch. The Dallas star has released LPs like Doll Szn, UNFUCCWITABLE and Let’s Do A Drill throughout her nearly decade-long career, all of which showcase her braggadocious flows. Though most Hip Hop fans know Asian Doll for her antics these days, she did gift us the star-studded “Nunnadat S**t (Remix)” in 2021.

10. Shy Glizzy

The DMV's very own Shy Glizzy surfaced with tracks like “White Girl,” “Awwsome” and “48.” The self-coined Young Jefe — also the name of his mixtape series — also tested his flows against GoldLink and Brent Faiyaz on 2016’s “Crew,” which deservedly earned the rapper his first RIAA platinum certification. Born on Dec. 12, 1992, Shy Glizzy is a Sagittarius to the bone.

11. YBN Nahmir

The internet era brought us countless artists who rose fast and faded just as quickly, and for better or worse, YBN Nahmir was one of those stories. Born on Dec. 18, 1999, the Birmingham, Alabama native skyrocketed to the mainstream with “Rubbin off the Paint,” a hit that gave him enough momentum to introduce the world to Almighty Jay and Cordae. Subsequent offerings like “Bounce Out With That” and “Opp Stoppa” kept the rapper in the conversation for a bit, but 2021’s VISIONLAND, his debut album, was a commercial flop. Since then, it’s been back to the drawing board for the music star.

12. A Boogie Wit da Hoodie

Right up there with Rod Wave, fellow Sagittarius PnB Rock and other artists who toe the line between melodies and lyricism, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie has heartbreak anthems down to a science. The Highbridge, New York rapper, born on Dec. 6, 1995, quickly landed himself on the map with back-to-back bangers “My S**t” and “Jungle." Then came Artist and The Bigger Artist, the latter delivering his massive Kodak Black-assisted hit, “Drowning.”

13. OhGeesy

Even in light of Shoreline Mafia’s massive success throughout the years, its solo members have always stood on their own two feet. Case in point: OhGeesy. The California rapper debuted GEEZYWORLD in 2021 with standout cuts like “Get Fly” featuring DaBaby and “Keeper.” Meanwhile, his 2023 effort, GEEZYWORLD 2, boasted “Blame Me” and the TikTok viral “GEEKALEEK.” Born on Nov. 27, 1993, it’s truly OhGeesy’s world when it comes to music.
