Will.i.am has worked with everyone from The Game to Michael Jackson and now he’s finally releasing a solo album. We thought Will was going in a different direction with his solo project, but judging by the first single, he’s still creating Black Eyed Peas-like hits.

The first offering called “I Got It From My Mama (Genetics)” has the catchiness of “My Humps.” The girl singing on the hook sounds somewhat like Fergie, but it’s not her. The song is an upbeat radio friendly jam that we’ll probably be sick of hearing by the time Will.i.am’s CD Songs About Girls drops on September 25th.
