Game L.A.X.

The Game’s third album L.A.X. will debut at the top of the charts next week, but only by a nose. Game sold 238,285 units, besting No. 2’s Slipknot by only 14 copies. This makes Game’s third consecutive No. 1 album, but lowest first-week sales of his career. Both 2005’s The Documentary (587,000) and 2006’s Doctor’s Advocate (358,000) debuted at No. 1.

Solange Knowles’ SoL-AngeL and The Hadley St. Dreams comes in at #9 with 46,300 sold.

UPDATE: According to Billboard, Slipknot in fact beat The Game to debut at No. 1. The rockers moved 239,516 copies, only 1,134 more than L.A.X. at 238,382.
