Nicole Scherzinger

Nicole Scherzinger is ready to meet mom. The Pussycat Dolls front woman has been tapped to guest star on an upcoming episode of CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother titled “Glitter,” named after her character on the show, Jessica Glitter. The episode sees the Dancing With the Stars alumnus playing Robin Sparkle’s former best friend who now serves as co-star of a Canadian talk show with Alan Thicke.

For those that don’t keep up with the show, Robin Sparkles, played by Cobie Smulders, is the former teen pop star alias of Robin Charles Scherbatsky Jr., who toured malls across America after scoring the hit “Let’s Go to the Mall.” “It’s going to be a satisfying third chapter in the Robin Sparkles trilogy,” executive producer Craig Thomas tells EW’s Ausiello Files. “It’s a prequel to both ‘Let’s Go to the Mall‘ and ‘Sandcastles in the Sand.’”

“It’s the origin story of Robin Sparkles,” adds co-executive producer Carter Bays. “You see where she came from.”

The episode is slated to air during November sweeps. In the meantime, the Dancing With the Stars champ is working on her oft-delayed solo debut.
