Ne-Yo and T.I.

T.I. is in hot water after his arrest two nights ago in California, and Ne-Yo isn’t remaining silent about it. The “Beautiful Monster” singer says that Tip has had several chances to clean up his act, and that while he’s one of the smartest people in the music industry, he doesn’t really think things through.

“I just feel that he makes a lot of poor decisions when it comes to the people that he surrounds himself with,” he told The Associated Press, blaming the company he keeps on influencing his behavior. “Nine times out of 10 when he gets in trouble, it’s not him, it’s the people that he’s with.”

“You’ve been given a bunch of different chances,” he continued. “Now is the time to really go, you know I get it, all right, I get it.”

T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of drug possession after making an illegal U-turn in West Hollywood. Released on $10,000 bail, Tip is on three years probation from his weapons case after serving a stint in prison last year.
