After staying off Twitter for over a year, Kid Cudi has finally rejoined the social networking service. In his first series of tweets, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper updated fans on his upcoming projects, which include a new album, mixtape, and TV series.
Cudi, who started a new Twitter page under the name @wizardcud, revealed info about his upcoming rock album with his newly-formed band Wizard, consisting of him and “Day ‘N’ Nite” producer Dot da Genius. “pushing for a summer release of the wizard album. i produce and play guitar on everything with my main man @dotdagenius. he’s learnin bass,” he wrote. “wizard is a rock album, no raps, just singing. brand new thing. flavor.”
His followers were also informed that he’s contributing to Jay-Z and Kanye West’s joint album Watch the Throne and that the Shia LaBeouf-directed video for “Maniac” from his latest album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager is coming. “workin on some jay and ye shit,” he tweeted. “the maniac film will b released later this year. cage, shia and i really want everything just right, and i need the proper time for scoring. the edit must be epic.”
After he shoots the next season of HBO’s “How to Make It in America” in March, Cudder will drop his hip-hop mixtape A Man Named Scott this summer. “for all those who fucks with my raps, this is for u since ima be all rocked out with the wizard shit. also its free! yes!”
