Kanye West

Yeezus didn’t rise in Vancouver on Sunday. A day after Drake postponed his Philadelphia show, Kanye West pulled the plug on his Canadian gig.

With only hours to go until showtime at Rogers Arena, it was announced that the Chicago rapper would not be performing.

According to CTV, Canucks Sports & Entertainment sent out a news release at around 2:30 p.m. advising that “The Yeezus Tour” with Kendrick Lamar had been rescheduled until Oct. 31 due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

Fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment. “WHY IS THE CONCERT POSTPONED TO HALLOWEEN?! I WANTED CANDY. You’ve disappointed me @kanyewest,” tweeted one fan @hdeolxO.

Tickets for the canceled show will be honored for the rescheduled date of Halloween.

There was no further explanation on why the concert had been postponed, but there is speculation that one of the tour’s equipment trucks may have been stolen.

The Vancouver show was the second stop on “The Yeezus Tour,” which kicked off on Saturday in Seattle. It is set to resume on Tuesday in San Jose, Calif.
