While we may never see the video for “Do What U Want,” Lady Gaga has moved on to her next ARTPOP single. The pop superstar goes big in the video for “G.U.Y.” Shot last month at California’s famed Hearst Castle, the extravagant clip features more outrageous fashion, synchronized swimmers, and cameos from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
“We had our work cut out for us with this video,” said Gaga during her appearance on “Today.” “It was a very big production. We shot for six days and it was just such a pleasure working with the whole team.”
She turned heads with her performance at SXSW, where vomit artist Millie Brown threw up on her onstage.
“For us, that performance was art in its purest form,” she said in response to the controversy. “But we totally understand that some people won’t be into it. We don’t make things with any intention other than in the spirit of entertaining the crowd and creating something that is really for the moment.”
The “G.U.Y.” video will premiere Saturday at 8 p.m. on NBC’s “Dateline.” Go behind the scenes below.
