If you combed through the credits on Beyoncé’s latest album, you may have noticed one recurring name. Jordan Asher, better known as Boots, is responsible for writing and producing the bulk of Bey’s chart-topping release—from “Partition” to “Drunk in Love.”
Following a social media manhunt, Bey’s secret weapon revealed his identity last month. Now the singer-songwriter-rapper-producer extraordinaire, who is managed by Roc Nation, showcases his full breadth of work on his debut solo mixtape, WinterSpringSummerFall, which premiered on BuzzFeed.
The 16 tracks were recorded throughout the world over the past year, and include appearances from Kelela, Shlohmo & Jeremih, Son Lux, and Queen Bey herself, who appears on “Dreams.”
Listen to Boots cover a range of emotions, from sexy to lonely to uplifting, on his remarkable debut.
