Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury

The King and Queen come together on one posthumous collaboration. Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson duet on the powerful ballad “There Must Be More to Life Than This,” which was written by Mercury during sessions for Queen’s 1981 album, Hot Space.

Mercury visited MJ in L.A. where he recorded Jackson singing the song for an unfinished version. Queen revived the track during sessions for 1984’s The Works, but it was never finished. A year later, a solo version surfaced on Mercury’s debut solo album, 1985’s Mr. Bad Guy.

The new production, which was remixed by William Orbit, mixes Queen’s original backing track with Mercury and Jackson’s distinct vocals.

It will appear on the two-CD set Queen Forever, due November 11.
