Brandy is headed to Broadway. The R&B singer will star as Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning musical Chicago.
She shared the exciting news with her fans, tweeting, “I’m so excited to announce that I’m joining the Broadway cast of @CHICAGOMusical as Roxie Hart.”
The eight-week limited engagement runs from April 28 to June 21 at the Ambassador Theatre in New York.
The role marks Brandy’s Broadway debut, but she’s no stranger to acting. The former “Moesha” star can also be seen as Chardonnay Pitts on BET’s “The Game.”
In between acting gigs, she has been in the studio with Hit-Boy and Stacy Barthe working on her seventh album.
