Nas is ready to have the summer on smash. The hip-hop icon has teased a summer release date for his new album.

During a gig at Vain Nightclub in Orlando over the weekend, Nas made the announcement to clubgoers. “Death to all snitches,” he said before adding, “2015, new album this summer.”

Last year, he celebrated the 20th anniversary of Illmatic with a new album, Illmatic XX, a documentary, Nas: Time Is Illmatic, and a tour.

When he’s not at the Grammys with Madonna or performing at the NBA All-Star Game alongside Christina Aguilera, Nas has been in the studio working on the follow-up to 2012’s Life Is Good.

While he’s remained coy about the direction, he dropped a new song in October called “The Season,” which samples J Dilla’s “Gobstopper.”

In addition to music, Nas serves as executive producer of the breakdancing documentary Shake the Dust, which will be available on iTunes and VOD outlets on May 19.
