Ms. Lauryn Hill has won eight Grammys, and now she can add another accolade to her list of accomplishments. The Fugees frontwoman will receive the Golden Note Award at ASCAP’s 28th annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.

Hill will also perform during the event on June 25 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles, reports Billboard. She joins past Golden Note recipients including Pharrell Williams, Dr. Dre, Alicia Keys, and Stevie Wonder.

ASCAP president Paul Williams praised Hill for her “ability to push boundaries and capture the humanity that surrounds us,” adding, “Ms. Hill’s talent as a songwriter is undeniable and reflects her singular take on the world we live in.”

Jazmine Sullivan will also take the stage at the Rhythm & Soul Music Awards, honoring songwriters and publishers of the most-performed ASCAP songs of the past year in R&B, hip-hop, rap, and gospel.

Hill, who celebrated her 40th birthday earlier this week, will bring her “Small Axe” tour overseas in July with stops in France, Spain, Italy, and Belgium.
