Joey Bada$$ is feeling some type of way about the media. The Brooklyn rapper has gone on a Twitter tirade in defense of Bill Cosby, arguing that the rape allegations against him are the result of media “brainwashing.”
“I don’t fuck with the Bill Cosby slander,” he wrote initially, adding, “Of course I’m always against a rapist but it’s just like y’all EAT UP anything the media feeds yalll…”
He expanded his argument from one about Cosby to a larger point about how people believe everything they read. “You internet kids know NOTHING except what they put in front of you on these devices,” he said. “Every media site can start slandering anyone at any moment with some half ass story and you guys will fucking believe it.”
Bada$$ continued in this conspiratorial vein, making the case that the media routinely deceives audiences, and that people need to “know that there is always a REAL story beneath the COVER story.”
He concluded his Twitter rant by asking his followers to continue getting updates on his views on his Snapchat @badmonjozif.
