“Migos. We back, bitch.”
That’s the opening line on Migos’ new track “Case Closed,” the Zaytoven-produced trap banger that marks the group’s first song as a trio since Offset’s release from jail late last week.
“Minor setback for a major comeback,” repeats Quavo over minimalist production. “I swear to the Lord that I’m not goin’ back / Back on the road, 80 thou’, we need that / Takeoff gave a hunnit, told me to relax / Sleepin’ one eye open, Silver without a patch,” raps Offset.
Offset joins Takeoff and Quavo after spending eight months behind bars for drugs and weapons charges. He was arrested and held without bail in April, and as part of a plea deal, he pled guilty to inciting a riot in jail. Following his release, he’ll be on probation for the next five years, though he will receive credit for the 230 days he served at a Bulloch County, Ga. facility.
