Are Drake and J. Cole plotting a joint tour? According to Hot 97’s Ebro Darden, the hip-hop superstars are set to announce dates as soon as this week.
“There’s a rumor that I heard that there’s gonna be an announcement this week of a Drake and J. Cole summer tour,” Darden said on “Ebro in the Morning” on Monday (via Complex).
Just this weekend, Drake announced plans to release his next album, Views From the 6, in April. He headlined Coachella and Wireless last year and traveled through the U.S. and Canada on his own “Jungle Tour.”
Meanwhile, J. Cole is fresh off last year’s “Forest Hills Drive” tour. During his hometown show in Fayetteville, N.C. in August, he brought out Drake. He also hinted at new material in 2016, possibly with Kendrick Lamar. “This February, bet shit get scary when I fuck around and drop,” he said on his “Black Friday” freestyle over Kendrick’s “Alright.”
No word yet from Drake or Cole’s camps, but you can hear Ebro discuss the rumor at the 8:10 mark.
