The Weeknd will take the stage at the Grammys tonight, but it’s his special guest who everyone will be talking about tomorrow. Ms. Lauryn Hill will reportedly join “The Hills” singer on stage during the 58th annual ceremony.

While the Fugees frontwoman has not been officially announced as a performer, there are hints across social media about her involvement this evening. A musician who reportedly plays in Hill’s band fueled those talks last night by saying that he and his groupmates were headed to the Grammys for an 8 a.m. rehearsal with #LaurynHill.

Another Instagram post is also making waves. This one features The Weeknd, and someone who is said to be Ms. Hill. “Rehearsals for the Grammys tonight,” the post reads. “They are making history.”

Hill has not performed on the Grammy stage since 1999 when she won five Grammys for her acclaimed solo debut The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. This month also marks the 20th anniversary of The Fugees’ album The Score.

If it happens, Hill’s performance won’t be the only talk of the Grammys. According to the show’s producers, Kendrick Lamar will also offer a memorable set, which LL Cool J described as “controversial.”

“I don’t know that I’d say controversial; I’d say powerful,” Recording Academy CEO and chairman Neil Portnow told Billboard. “There are some artists that have a point of view in terms of bringing things to the public for conversation and creating awareness and a dialogue, and we happen to think that’s healthy. Obviously we’re on primetime TV and we have to be respectful of the laws, but I think it’s going to be a very powerful performance.”

Lamar leads this year’s awards with 11 nominations. Rihanna, Adele, Justin Bieber, Andra Day, Tori Kelly, Lady Gaga, John Legend, and Pitbull are among the night’s other scheduled performers.

The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will air live from the Staples Center in L.A. tonight at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS.
