Drake and Skepta “Shutdown” a London nightclub on Wednesday (Feb. 24). While in town for his BRIT Awards performance with Rihanna, Drizzy and Skep made a surprise appearance at the Section Boyz’ Village Underground show.
A video from the event shows British rap-grime star Skepta rocking to “It Ain’t Safe” and “Shutdown” before the 6 God makes an entrance. Donning a white sweatsuit like the one he sported onstage with RiRi, Drake launched into “Jumpman.”
Following his performance, Drizzy hit Instagram with an announcement.
“The first Canadian signed to BBK,” he wrote. “Big up my brudda @skeptagram for life yeah. And my section gunners too.”
BBK stands for Boy Better Know, an independent label founded by Skepta.
Soon, several outlets, including BBC, were reporting that Drizzy signed with BBK, while others were skeptical.
This isn’t the first time Drake has shown love to the label. Four months ago, he got some new ink in the form of a BBK tattoo on his shoulder.
“More than music,” Skepta wrote on Instagram at the time. “OVO BBK family for life.”
