Take ’em to the “Tabernacle.” After dropping his autobiographical single earlier this month, Royce 5’9″ unleashes the music video.
The visual takes Royce’s lyrics as a script with flashback scenes reenacting a “powerful day” in the Bad Meets Evil rapper’s life. In the clip, 5’9″ stands inside of a church, sharing the play-by-play of the day in which his son was born, his grandmother died, and he met his future partner-in-rhyme Eminem.
“I learned a lot this day,” the Slaughterhouse MC says to close out the track. “I learned that the universe has this way of balancing itself out… I learned that God is real.”
Beyond “Tabernacle,” his album Layers is slated to feature Rick Ross and Pusha T, as well as production from DJ Khalil, Mr. Porter, Nottz, and Jake One (see the tracklisting). The project is scheduled to arrive April 15.
