Jennifer Lopez takes no days off. As she gears up for this week’s “American Idol” finale, the superstar has announced a new single called “Ain’t Your Mama.”
While backstage at “Idol,” she took to Facebook Live to reveal the title and preview the song.
“I ain’t gonna do your laundry, I ain’t your mama / Boy, I ain’t your mama,” sings J.Lo over the boom-bap beat.
She will perform “Ain’t Your Mama” for the first time on the “Idol” series finale this Thursday, April 7. The song will be available for download immediately following the performance. “It’s gonna be very high energy,” said J.Lo.
She recently signed a new deal with L.A. Reid at Epic Records, where she plans to release her next album, the follow-up to 2014’s A.K.A.
In addition to music and “Idol,” J.Lo can be seen on NBC’s “Shades of Blue,” which has been renewed for a second season, and in Las Vegas at her Planet Hollywood residency “All I Have,” which continues May 22.
