The champs have a new anthem. After breaking the NBA’s record for most-wins in a season last night, the Golden State Warriors received a gift from one of their most famous fans: G-Eazy.
The Bay Area spitter used the record-setting squad as the inspiration behind his latest single, “Random (Warriors Remix).” On the track, G-Eazy name-checks reigning MVP Steph Curry and celebrates the team’s defense.
While the Warriors embark on the playoffs, G-Eazy has his own run to go on. The rapper is playing Coachella this weekend and next before launching “The Endless Summer Tour” in Dallas on June 28 with Logic, YG, and Yo Gotti.
G-Eazy might be celebrating the Warriors with this remix, but he’s also a Kobe Bryant fan. Last night, he joined fellow MCs Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and Jay Z at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, cheering on the Lakers legend on his final game.
“Watched my favorite player ever put up 60 points in the last game he’ll ever play,” he wrote on Instagram. “And the Warriors got the all time record. What a night for basketball.”
