A Tupac Shakur love letter is up for sale. One of the late rapper’s 1988 notes to a high school classmate is being sold for $35,000 through a memorabilia dealer, according to TMZ.
The girl, who was in drama class with Pac, was given the nickname “Beethoven” because she played piano. An emotional Pac confessed to heartbreak and shared his love for Prince in the handwritten note.
“As u will soon find out, I do not spare words, I say what I feel,” he writes. “So if something I say scares u please don’t panic because I tend 2 get over emotional.”

The woman who received the letter is the one selling the note, along with one from her that allegedly explains their relationship.
“I didn’t know the man who tattooed ‘Thug Life’ on his chest and who was gunned down on a Las Vegas street,” she says now. “I never really cared for the music he recorded—it was nothing like those freestyles in front of our school. I knew the kid who loved Prince, and candles and had a broken heart.”
Shakur died in a still-unsolved shooting in Las Vegas on Sept. 13, 1996. He was 25.
