Rihanna’s ANTI sales are climbing even “Higher.” After nabbing 1 million downloads in just 14 hours and topping the Billboard 200 back in February, RiRi’s latest album continues to reach new levels.
On Thursday (May 5), ANTI was certified double platinum by the RIAA, becoming the first 2X multi-platinum album of 2016. Additionally, her Drake-assisted single “Work,” which spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, is the first 3X multi-platinum song of the year.
Her tour, named after the album, is also one of the year’s hottest tickets. Just last night, RiRi surprised her L.A. Navy by bringing Drake onstage for “Work.” Drizzy also stuck around to perform “One Dance” and “Jumpman.”
Today also marks the release of Rihanna’s Denim Desserts collection with Manolo Blahnik, which includes luxurious footwear meant, as Blahnik put it, “for a woman who knows what she wants.”
Meanwhile, Rihanna’s “ANTI World Tour” continues its West Coast run with shows in San Jose on May 6, Oakland on May 7, and San Diego on May 9.
