Kanye West and Chance the Rapper are still on an “Ultralight Beam.”

After joining forces on The Life of Pablo and Coloring Book, Yeezy and Chano took some time out of their schedules today to celebrate their mutual respect for one another.

Chance shared his appreciation for their bond in a series of tweets. “It’s crazy cause I feel like I met Kanye the first time I heard We Don’t Care. Like he’s been there for me since 2004,” he wrote. “Kanye was there when I tried out for the talent show, the first time I knew a kid who passed away, the first time I got suspended.”

Now that they’re buddies, Chance says it feels odd.

What prompted Chance’s reflections here? Well, on May 15, Mr. West praised his “brother Chance.” “Thank you for letting me work on this masterpiece,” he wrote, referring to Coloring Book. “One of my favorite people.”

Then today, he celebrated Chano again.

Of course, Kanye is featured on “All We Got” off Coloring Book while Chano appears on “Ultralight Beam” and is credited for contributions to “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” “Famous,” “Feedback,” and “Waves” off The Life of Pablo.

Earlier this week, Chance also opened up about their bond during an interview with Complex. “Everything is very surreal,” he said. “All rappers start in the same place…Just like writing raps in class. Eventually, to be where I am, to work with who I work with, to connect with fans and to connect with artists that I love, it’s all very surreal, but the Kanye thing is crazy.”
