Tory Lanez isn’t pulling any punches on his latest song, “August 19th.”

Produced by Jahlil Beats, the Fargo Fridays release allows Tory to respond to criticism of his jumpshot, which has been called “hideous,” “wild,” and “the world’s saddest.” “Jumpshot ugly,” he raps on the track. “But I ball, dog, in real life / I give the game insight to my trill life.”

Later, he says he deserved the Best New Artist trophy at the BET Awards. “Shit is gettin’ realer and my ni**as gettin’ triller,” he raps. “At the BET like how they give my shit to Tiller / I mean that’s my ni**a but I came up from the skrilla / And I want that shit the hardest, every artist gotta feel ’em.”

Tiller won the Best New Artist award over Alessia Cara, Andra Day, Tory Lanez, and Kehlani. The “Don’t” crooner also took home the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist trophy, beating Chris Brown, Jeremih, The Weeknd, and Tyrese.

After discussing his J and the BET Awards, Tory wasn’t done, taking aim at XXL and its editor-in-chief, Vanessa Satten. “XXL pissed,” he raps. “Somehow I ain’t take they cover / So they writin’ blog shit, taunt me and say I’m wrong / Like damn, Vanessa, dog, I thought we was fuckin’ dogs.”

As the song title suggests, Tory’s debut album I Told You drops Aug. 19.
