Right before unleashing his new EP, Prima Donna, Vince Staples takes care of some unfinished business.

As part of Adult Swim Singles Program, the Long Beach rhymer liberates the full version of “’06,” a snippet that closed out his critically-acclaimed debut album, Summertime ’06.

The street-smart cut blends Vince’s gritty lyrics with a hypnotic beat, produced by No I.D. “The Crips and the Bloods, the new Jim Crow,” rhymes Staples. “The guns and the drugs, the new noose rope / Just hang with a ni**a.”

Vince is prepping the release of Prima Donna for Aug. 26. The Def Jam project features six new cuts, including the A$AP Rocky-assisted title track.
