Desiigner’s drug charge has been dismissed and his name is being cleared.
On Tuesday (Nov. 29), the D.A. sealed the case and dismissed the possession charge stemming from his September arrest, according to TMZ. The other charges — menacing and possession of a loaded gun — were dropped days after his arrest.
In September, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper was arrested and hit with the aforementioned charges: intent to sell, menacing, and possession of a loaded gun. However, investigators never found a gun and the drugs in the vehicle were steroids, likely prescribed to the driver of Desiigner’s SUV the evening of the arrest.
Although the “Panda” hitmaker wasn’t in the courtroom today, his attorneys issued a statement on the case. “We’re happy he’s been exonerated … and happy with the investigation from the D.A.,” said Ian Niles and Stacey Richman.
At the time of the arrest, Desiigner issued a statement of his own via Instagram. “Ni**as is crazy,” he said. “We back out here, man. You dig? Ni**as crazy. I heard ni**as say we had to sell pills? We don’t gotta do that shit no more, baby. We don’t do this no more, baby!”
