To celebrate her two Grammy nominations, Remy Ma did what she does best. The Bronx bombshell went straight to Hot 97 to deliver a fresh batch of bars for Funkmaster Flex.

Over Nas’ classic “N.Y. State of Mind” instrumental, the “Love & Hip Hop” star fired off boastful bars about her impact on the game since prison.

“In two years, no album, no solo single, no tour,” she rhymed alongside husband Papoose. “Three million followers and got two BET Awards / Dropped the album of the summer independent and the shit popped / Legitimized the entire franchise of ‘Love & Hip-Hop.'” And to cap things off, she added: “Two Soul Train Awards, yeah, female rap changin’ / And yesterday, I woke up to two Grammy nominations.”

This is a reference to the fact that “All the Way Up,” her infectious collaboration with Fat Joe and French Montana, is up for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song at the 59th Annual Grammys, marking her first Grammy nods in 11 years.

“It’s just so amazing,” Remy told the Los Angeles Times. “There’s so many artists out there that are working just as hard, or harder, as we are and we are all reaching for that same star. To be put in a category with Drake and Kanye West? It’s very humbling.”

During the Hot 97 freestyle, her husband Papoose also unloaded some bars, taking aim at the Mannequin Challenge viral craze. “Everybody on Instagram wanna be a mannequin,” he rhymed. “Bunch of bitches, you should try to be a man again.”
