It’s been a big year for Breezy.

Although the superstar crooner didn’t release a new album in 2016, Chris Brown still knew how to make headlines. To close out the year, we’re sharing Breezy’s biggest, most-read stories of 2016, according to Rap-Up readers.

Despite no new album, fans were still clamoring for music as the most-read Breezy story of 2016 was an announcement for Chris’ eighth album Heartbreak on a Full Moon in May. Just after his OHB mixtape, Before da Trap: Nights in Tarzana, Chris confirmed the title, prompting excitement for the follow-up to 2015’s Royalty, which is expected in 2017.

New music also helped Brown secure his second-most read story of the year with the release of “Do You Mind,” DJ Khaled’s Major Key single featuring August Alsina, Nicki Minaj, Jeremih, Future, and Rick Ross. The song would go on to hit No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Breezy yet another smash.

Speaking of new music, Brown’s third most-read story of the year was the “Back to Sleep (Remix)” featuring Usher and Zayn. Over a sample of Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing,” the R&B trio made the ladies swoon with a baby-making jam.

Brown also made headlines with his performances. His fourth biggest story of the year was a show-stopping medley of hits for the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where he performed “Liquor,” “Back to Sleep,” “Wrist,” and “Anyway.”

Relationship woes also creeped back into the headlines with the fifth biggest Chris Brown story of the year, when Breezy and his ex Karrueche reignited their feud in March. During what they both called a “petty” exchange, the former couple went on a shade-filled back-and-forth. “Once this ‘TALENT’ you have starts to simmer, so will everyone else,” Brown wrote. “You’re calling me a bitch yet you’re screaming my name in a song about getting back together?” she responded…”I am so over the drama!”
