Travis Scott capped off 2016 with another onstage dispute. This time, he faced off against a DJ in Canada.
Recently-surfaced video of La Flame performing at the New City Gas Nightclub in Montreal last month shows his displeasure with a DJ, who he would go on to badger.
“Just play the song, you f**king moron,” he says in the clip. “The worst DJ in Montreal is right there on stage. The best rapper in the world is on stage right now though.”
At one point, Scott asks the DJ to leave. “Get off the stage please,” he said. “This f**kin’ trash ass DJ is f**kin’ up everything I’m doing right now.”
Eventually the DJ leaves and Scott goes behind the DJ booth himself, playing the songs he would go on to perform.
Scott has had similar disputes with others. Last month, for instance, he threatened a security guard during one of his shows.
“I will smack the f**k out of you, ni**a,” he told him. “Don’t you ever take a motherf**king mic out of my f**king fans’ hands, man. Get this ni**a out my face, man. Get this ni**a out my face. No security touches a Travis Scott fan, bro. It’s not how we rocking, bro. Take yo ass to the left. You f**king big earlobe, earring wearing, fat motherf**ker.”
In August, he screamed at another security guard for holding a fan back from coming onto the stage. “Leave this motherf**ker alone,” he told the security guard. “All you lime green shirt motherf**ers, back the f**k up.” In the video, he went on to shove the security guard and tap him on his head, before claiming the fan was part of his entourage.
Last year, he also argued with a videographer at Hot 97’s annual “Summer Jam.”
“Get your nerdy ass off the stage, bro,” he yelled. “Go! Now! You! Off! Yes, I don’t know you, bro. Nobody on stage, bro. No disrespect, I’m an artist.”
