Right in time for Valentine’s Day, BJ the Chicago Kid is giving “Roses” to his fans. The sensual song finds the R&B crooner seducing his lady over a bedroom-ready instrumental.

“Roses pretty rare,” he sings. “She love to keep me going, playing with my hair.”

“Roses” arrives just one day after the Grammys, where BJ hung out with Lil Yachty, Desiigner, Busta Rhymes, and Chance the Rapper.

The Chicago Kid went into the evening nominated for Best R&B Performance for “Turnin’ Me Up,” Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Woman’s World,” and Best R&B Album for In My Mind.

Although he walked away empty handed, BJ was gracious in congratulating Solange, whose “Cranes in the Sky” beat him out in the Best R&B Performance category and Lalah Hathaway, who took home the other two awards for “Angel” and her Lalah Hathaway Live LP.

Up next, BJ is producing music for Fox’s new drama “Shots Fired.” “The whole concept of the show is genius,” he told Okayplayer. “I can’t wait to see the people’s reactions and be a part of something I believe is definitely going to change lives.”
