Rrrrrah! Hot off the release of “Holy Ghost,” Desiigner unleashes two more bangers, “Thank God I Got It” and “Up.”
The latter, produced by Juicy J, was inspired by Three 6 Mafia and samples the Memphis group’s 1995 single “Tear Da Club Up.”
“I been ridin’ through the city,” sings Desiigner. “They tryin’ to fuck my night up / A lot of shit that I hold down, it’s time that I bring right up / I’ma get rich, get rich, and I’ma live it right up.”
After tearing the club up, Tiimmy Turner turns grateful with another new song, “Thank God I Got It.” Rhyming about counting “Broccoli” like Lil Yachty, the “Panda” hitmaker makes even more pop culture references.
“I beat it up like I’m Tyson,” he raps. “I beat it up like I’m Michael / I wanna make a Miss Jackson / We ride fast in that Aston / The love life not crashin’.”
Like the previously-released “Outlet,” both songs carry a victorious theme. On “Up,” Desiigner raps: “Super savage / Champion.” On “Thank God,” he adds: “Ball hard, I’m a champion / Ball hard, ’til the damage done.”
On Sunday (April 2), Desiigner launched his “Outlet Tour,” which continues through May 16 in Toronto. He’s also readying his debut album, The Life of Desiigner, which was originally announced in May of 2016.
