After performing their collaboration on “The Late Show,” Lupe Fiasco and Gizzle team up once again in the video for “Jump” off this year’s DROGAS Light.
Standing in front of pastel-colored backdrops, Lupe and Gizzle point imaginary guns at the camera, while telling the story of an intergalactic takeover. Rhyming beside one another, the duo explains how one can transition from “a trapper to a rapper.” In between scenes, special static effects, emojis, gold medals, pineapples, and acrobatic dancers pop up.
The Chi-town MC announced the video by proclaiming that he looks like “a young MJG” in the visual. “Oh and here’s the video for #Jump!!! @BxtchImGizzle,” he tweeted. “I look like a young MJG and I like it.”
The Djay Brawner-directed visual follows Lupe’s DROGAS Light. Since the album’s release, Carrera Lu has also unleashed “Kneelin’ on Needles” and “ANKH:HER.” He is now reportedly working on his last two albums, DROGAS and SKULLS.
