After watching his fellow One Direction members go solo, Liam Payne is ready to take center stage with his debut single “Strip That Down” featuring Quavo.
So far, Liam has only shared a snippet of his forthcoming track, which has a hip-hop bounce and features hand snaps. A slowed-down voice can be heard saying, “Move that down, girl, love when you hit the ground.”
Two weeks ago, Quavo confirmed that he filmed a music video with the British star. “I just came from a video,” he told Tim Westwood. “Me and my boy, Liam, from One Direction. We just shot that. Crazy visuals. Crazy team. Cool guy. Nice guy. It’s going up. I wasn’t even supposed to say that. It’s gonna be a surprise though.”
Liam is no stranger to hip-hop. Just last year, he teamed up with Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa on “You,” one of a reported five songs he worked on with Juicy and 808 Mafia’s TM88.
“Strip That Down” is due May 19. Listen to a snippet below.
